Abstract
Process improvements are a combination process yield improvements and process efficiency improvements. Process improvement is defined as a process change that reduces the total cost per unit of process output; improves the quality of the process output; or reduces the cycle-time of the process. The challenge facing the new controller is to identify process improvements as they occur and to help the organization capture the intended benefits.
