Abstract
■ The seven principles of cost management are founded on five basic tenets: an organization's cost structure is the direct result of specific past and current management decisions; complexity is a primary driver of organizational performance; effective and lasting change comes only as a result of significantly different decision making and involvement; organization performance is determined by the commitment to employee knowledge and experience; employee performance can be optimized only through a positive and balanced performance environment.
