Abstract
The structural logic advocated for the implementation and design of a cost information system that integrated database management is discussed. It has consequently identified organizational issues of relevance within a large electronics multinational firm requiring changes in the content and structure of the cost management information systems. This paper is indicative of a need for viewing cost information systems change processes as being contingent on an array of corporation-wide and organizational submit-specific factors.
