Cosourcing in manufacturing - Just in time

Abstract

A study is performed on just in time (JIT) cosourcing in manufacturing which is a supply chain method that provides closeness to suppliers while minimizing control loss. Cosourcing ensures that control is retained in both manufacturing and management systems, so that key cosourcing partners can be involved in ensuring congruence maintained between manufacturing process and business process. Cosourcing can be especially beneficial for satisfying JIT strategic issues involving time, quality, consistency and cost.
